The program for new school principals-second year, being carried out by MCLN in conjunction with the Southern District of the Ministry of Education, is designed to broaden principals’ abilities through theoretical and applied learning. Topics covered include: the principal and conflicting loyalties: ethical and practical aspects; a multidimensional perspective on complex incidents in the education system: the contribution of philosophy, psychology, and organizational and administrative theories to an in-depth understanding of situations in the principal’s job; and mediation as a structured method of conducting dialogue in situations of disagreement in the education system. |

The final session which took place on May 19, 2009, focused on multiple cultures as an educational challenge: the encounter of educational agreements and understandings with the legal system. It also included a summary of the previous sessions and addressed psychological aspects of conclusions and partings as starting points for renewal and growth.
